CCR gas switches

Hi all,

quick question. I'm an open circuit diver but have a question about how gas changes are prompted when using the CCR mode on the OSTC. When I'm diving open circuit the computer will prompt me to change gas when I ascend to the MOD of a gas in my gaslist. Does this work the same way in CCR mode? Do you have to bailout first?

Hi,

yes, you have to bail our first.
The OSTC will not prompt for a diluent switch when in CCR mode.

OK thanks Reiner, so, just to be clear if you bail out to a stage gas and ascend the computer will prompt you to switch to another, better, gas when you reach the MOD of the gas. Is this correct?

Hi David,

i believe you need the latest beta for the prompting-feature.
Just load firmware 2.51 and try it yourself with the simulator.
I didn't dive or simulate a dive with 2.51 yet.
