I can confirm: No customfunctionsII with DivingLog version 5.0.4 after update to 2.0 stable.

All the rest works fine, but since I did not yet dive after the update I cannot confirm downloading the profile to DivingLog. Did anyone alredy try?

Hi everyone

I cannot try it myself currently, but everything worked fine with the latest beta firmware and this issue seems to be introduced with v2.0 stable. I will investigate the memory dumps as soon as I get them and will chat with Matthias and we should quickly find out if this is a bug in Diving Log or a bug in the OSTC firmware. Give us a few days and we will report here back.

Hello Again,

I used the DivingLog version 5.0.4.
The update to 5.0.5 brought no changes.

I had now send my BinaryOutputFile to Sven.
Hopefully he and Matthias will find and solve the problem:)

Peter,

I downloaded the dive with the new FW without a hitch and it now also shows the NDL/StopTime. See the picture attached.

I've also managed to download profiles from the new logbook format to DivingLog 5.0.4. No problem.
So the only minor thing right now is the missing customfunctionsII. I've changed my settings directly in the OSTC. So no big deal.

Hello 2gether,

I do have 2 questions about the new V2 FW:

1. How is the scaling of the temperature curve in the Logbook view?
I just can't think about a refernce between the displayed value and the curve.
(The overall look is just awsome, thx)

2. In the Gaslist menue as well in the surface mode, the active gases (marked in the gaslist) are not displayed in a white color.
Only the first and active gas is colored in white but only in the gaslist menue.

thx for your responds
Lukas

My cf settings have not been changed to default when I did the upgrade to 2.0 from 1.95beta. Is this normal?

I got 2 binary dump files and it looks like that Diving Log does not receive the EEPROM2 memory, which contains the custom functions II. As far as I know nothing has changed on the firmware side, so I have to investigate with Matthias the cause of the problem. Maybe the new bootloader v2 has something to do with it or some last minute change in the stable firmware 2.0.

Can you try the following:

- Click the "Configure OSTC" button to transfer only the CF1 and CF2
- Click the "Firmware Check" button to see if that works
- Try to use the PC Simulator in Diving Log

Please let me know if these things work or not.

Sven,

Here my feedback:

- Click the "Configure OSTC" button to transfer only the CF1 and CF2
I was only able to receive CF1 as with previous times
- Click the "Firmware Check" button to see if that works
Firmware Check works fine, displays the current FW
- Try to use the PC Simulator in Diving Log
Tried the simulator. The simulations run in the Diving Log SW but are not transferred to the OSTC screen.

When I do all of the above in JDiveLog it all works, inlcuding the CFI and CFII as well as transferring the simulations to the OSTC screen.

I got the same results like Hansjoerg. So this seems to be reproducible. However, we both have the N2. Maybe there is a difference between MKII and 2N?

Thanks everyone, I've found the bug and it was in Diving Log, not in the firmware. It was kind of a "Year2K" bug of the firmware checks, because I checked only the minor version and not the major and thus firmware 2.0 seemed to be too "old" for CF2. Thanks Matthias for the idea :)

Please download this update zip file and extract it into the Diving Log program folder. If you want a setup instead of the zip file, you can download it here. In this update is also another nice little feature which will automatically refresh the COM port list when you connect your OSTC. Up to now you have to connect the OSTC before opening the download dialog, now the order doesn't matter.

Sven, Matthias,

Thanks heaps for your support. It now works just perfect.
What is especially neat, now it doesn't matter whether the OSTC is attached or not when starting Diving Log.

Hi,

Kudos to Sven and Matthias for the quick fix! Still impressed of the support here, what a difference to UEMIS (R.I.P.). I should have gone for the 2N in the first place ;)

Hi Michael,

Not to speak of the fact, that with the uemis you can (could) only read out the dive computer online. That as well as the switches to operate the DC, were the killer criteria not to buy the uemis. The OSTC is definatly better in this regard.

Hello Lukas,

before you are asking this question a third time remaining unanswered, here at least some remarks:

1. There is a fixed scale going from x to y for the temperature scale - IIRC 0-35°. There has to be another thread were JeanDo explained that, but unfortunately at least the last few times I was using the search of this forum it didn't provide results.

2. All active gases are displayed in white color within my unit and FW2.0, in surface mode as well as in the simulator, all inactive gases are blue. You should try this again.

Best regards,

Jörn

@Lukas: I found the scale here: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/read.ph ... 4#msg-5904

It is from -2- +35°, so I was almost right:)

Hallo

Matthias
