Hi,

The new beta is available for download. It now has five extra gases (Diluent), configurable in the New "CCR Setup Menu".

Die neue Beta ist nun zum Download bereit. Es gibt fünf neue Gase (Diluent/Füllgas), die im neuen Menü "CCR Setup Menü" konfiguriert werden.

During the dive, you can switch between the Diluents in the "Setpoint" Menu.
Während des TG kann das Diluent im "Setpoint" Menü umgestellt werden.

Diluents are numbered D1-D5:

...even though I still (from a esthetic viewpoint) think the main display should be reworked with: "41.0" and "Max." swapping places.
All other data have the header above the data, so I don't understand why not the max depth value?
;)

DiverM, will you compile a 6m Safetystop binary again?

Hallo Matthias,

nice work. I dive with the following diluent gases: Air, TX18/45, TX15/55, TX10/70 und TX7/80. In the moment it is not possible to give Helium with more than 50%.
Can you change this please.

I'll change this in the next update, there is no special reason that "Max." is below the value.

Matthias

Oops... This is definitely a bug here.

Actually I was planning on compiling only Stable Release versions of the firmware with the adjusted safety-stop depth. Beta's are not for diving, the stop is only displayed on NDL dives and the change is not even minor, it is parametric. There is really no added value in having a Beta with the Safety stop adjusted.

So, Yes, I will compile firmware with the adjusted stop depth, but only when a new Stable version is released.

I hope this answer does not disappoint you too much... (or anyone else for that matter)

Now with the "Max." Depth text moved above the value :)

Good job! Thanks a lot!

But... "Max." is not in line with "Depth" (left space) and "78.0" is also not in line with "24.3" and "74.6" (bottom space). Just to make it perfect... >:D<

To add on top of it - Air is in a different color, and should rather read Temp or Tmp than Air ... we do not always breathe air :-) or move in the air :-). Should I add that all labels should be in line :-) ?

AIR is not a label for the temp.
It's a indicator of the gas used and gets changed when you change gas!

That´s great! Every day, I´m fascinated with this computer, with this forum and with the manufacturer. I think that the manufacturer is the only in the world wich hears the feedback of the users and applies to their products.

Thanks for it.

Best Regards.

You are absolutely right - my mistake. I was just looking at screenshot :-). Still, I'd like to have all labels nicely organized and colored same, with same font etc ...
Although I am first to admit that it is a great unit, and my kudos to HW for making it this way.

Just playing with the new beta now. I tried the beta before reading this thread closely :) I expected to see the new feature under Menu -> Gas Setup and didn't but then went looking and failed to find it under Menu -> More -> CCR Setup Menu

Don't you realise that OC Trimix is obsolete and the CCR settings should be in a more prominent place? ;)

So let me see if I've got it right.

The "active" diluent is D1. There is no way to set e.g. D3 to be active i.e. prior to the dive? That kinda defeats the purpose of putting in the range of preprogrammed diluents I would typically use for different depths.

Also what is the meaning of * = "Active Gas" in this context in Gas Setup?

Hello Matthias,

it would be nice to have the opportunity to set D1, D2, D3, D4 or D5 as the 1.Diliuent gas.

Agreed! this might be achieved by moving the "Reset Menu" into "More", thus one line would be freed in the main menu and we could have:

Logbook
OCR Gas Setup
CCR Menu
Setup
More
Exit

Halloooo!

The world does not just consist of CCR divers, just because you guys have a rebreather that does not mean the rest of the world has to have them...

FYI, I do not own a rebreather, just dive with one from time to time.

My point was to put "OC Gas list" and "CC Gas settings" on the same menu level (sounds just logical for me), rather than hiding "CC settings" inside the "More" menu. IMHO, the "Reset Menu" could go into the "More" menu... but I can live with the current menus!

Likewise a product that claims to be a Trimix dive computer that does not sufficiently cater for CCR divers isn't going to last very long in the current market with very competitive offerings by Liquivision and Shearwater. HW's price advantage is pretty much over.

I actually though HW did have a CC product? The DR5, or am I missing something?
