Hi,

We have just uploaded a new beta for the OSTC2: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/#/en/os ... /firmware/

It includes small changes and a bugfix for the "deko spike" issue:

CHANGE: Set default for CF64 (Color inactive) to 103 (light blue)
BUGFIX: Vault low_depth too
BUGFIX: Ascent to first stop in finer steps (Deko spikes)

Great response on the deco spike issue. Thanks for your efforts.

But then other people are complaining about the OC Bühlmann algorithm...
...you just can't win.

I must have missed that. What was the substance of their argument?

Okay, when I looked at this earlier the link took me to 2.61 firmware. Now there is only 2.60. What has happened?

nach dem Update auf die 2.61beta habe ich beim Start viele kleine weiße Pixel. Danach ist alles ok. Nach einem Downgrade auf die 2.50stable ist das nicht. Nach einem erneutem Upgrade auf die 2.61beta ist das gleiche wie beim ersten Update.

ich hab gerade die 2.61 beta (aktuell) installiert.
Das mit den weissen Pixeln kann ich nicht bestätigen.

Aber Matthias:

was mir beim überarbeiten der Custom Functions aufgefallen ist:

Das ist wohl eher CF41.

Meine Beobachtungen:
Die Pixel beim Start habe ich immer, habe die Reste von denen eingefangen, war nicht einfach, weil nur ganz kurz da.
Darstellung von einem Strich beim umschalten auf aGF- Anzeige, der auch beim weiterschalten stehenbleibt. Wahrscheinlich ist es ein deutsch-hex Problem.
Der Rest ist Euch bestimmt auch aufgefallen. CF41 ist inaktiv, aber an/aus ist noch aktiv und Batterieinfo zeigt nur aktuelle Daten, trotz vollladen zählt der Zähler nicht hoch.
Wenn ich noch was sehe, melde ich mich.

Die Pixel treten bei mir nicht auf. Allerdings werden bei mir in der englischen Version auch nur die aktuellen Werte im Batteriemenu angezeigt. Ansonsten verliefen 2 Tauchgänge gestern problemlos.

Ja, CF41 ist aktuell unbenutzt aber taucht natürlich noch auf.

Der Zähler zählt a) nur nach dem abziehen des Ladestroms und b) im Oberflächen- und Sleepmodus hoch.

Die Reste im Tauchmodus waren Reste vom text, der ist eine Spalte zu lang. Habe ich schon geändert.

mit CF41 habe ich wahrscheinlich Blödsinn erzählt, ist mir bei den anderen inaktiven aufgefallen, habe nur nie hingeschaut. Sorry.

Mit der Batterieanzeige meine ich das: (Foto)

Es zeigt nur nullen und Livewerte. Habe schon im sleepmodus und Startbildschirm geladen, ändert nichts.

@wannabe: das sieht bei mir identisch aus. Vor allem gibt es auch keine min und Max Werte mehr - war gestern im Walchensee, da müssten eigentlich um die 4 Grad hinterlegt sei, es stehen aber nur aktuelle Temperaturwerte im Menü.

Hello all

With 2.61, when powering up I have this brief flickering of white pixels like snow. Then everything is normal thereafter. The new features are great.
I had not noticed this before with 2.50.
Just my €0.02 feedback, congrats to the HW team.

I tried to upgrade to 2.61 last night but ended up with a blank screen and non-responsive OSTC. I think what may have happened was that I started the upgrade and just as it kicked off, the OSTC went to sleep. Nothing I do wakes it up.

I have also tried the magnetic reset as described by Matthias elsewhere in this forum. COM4 was the correct port to select before. When I plug OSTC in the computer beeps showing that the device is connected.

1. Connect OSTC
2. Start Bootloader
3. Put magnet near middle screw on back

When I do this, nothing happens. I have tried pushing update firmware after putting the magnet on the back but all I get is the following:

Connected to \\.\COM4 at 115200
HEX: 4 days old, INHX32,18Fcode+cfg, total=85392 bytes.
Searching for PIC ..., Not found
ERROR!
Not found!

Any suggestions?

Please, be very careful with this magnet hard reset. It can turn your OSTC into a paperweight. Also, the magnet reset and update only work with the bootloader v1, not with the v2 you are using. The OSTC restarts when removing the magnet, so it needs to be removed in order to start the update process. As long as the magnet is in place, the OSTC stays in reset state and nothing will happen.

What was the log output of the update process when you installed 2.61?

Where is the log output found?

In the bootloader "Messages" Window. Was there some kind of error message?
