Firmware 2.61 - dekostep calculation

Post by Rob »

Hi,

last weekend i did three dives with Firmware 2.61 and Firmware 2.50 both computers with the same settings and on the same arm.
There was one strange behaviour during the deko dive Dive Number 00831 and 00832. In 00832 it was extreme so i describe this profile in hte following.
See the profiles attached to this mail.

Both computers showd me the same TTS until the 21m stop, than 5 min at 21m (5min gasswitch configured) but i skipped this 5 minutes than 2.50 showd a stop at 9m for 1min but 2.61 showed a stop at 17m 2min
i continued the ascend 2.61 went red (missed decostep) to 9m, 2.61 shows 16m xxmin, went red showed 12m xxmin in the ostcprofile you can follow the decostepline and the ostc shows a stop for each of the steps.
But when you look at the stored decoplandata, they shows something complete different.
After some seconds at the 3m Step both computers where absolutely synchron with the dekostepdepth and time.

Dive 00833 was a non decostep dive and dive 00831 with some deco too.
I hope this helps for finding out the problem in 2.61.

Regards
Rob

Jetzt nochmal in deutsch.

sprich -> total daneben.

Can't you please write in English so the rest of us have a chance to understand whats being said?

I think it's a shame that so many discussions turns into nonsense whenever a forum-thread turns into German... (nonsense by not being able to understand)
Or don't you want input from other non-German users?

Thanks,
Petter

Hi Petter,

sorry for that.

Matthias think that this strange behaviour depends on CF55. I set this CF to 5 Minutes.
Maybe someone can test this with CF55 set to 0. My next dives happen in three weeks.
So i cannot check this earlier.

And Petter -> there are also some users they dont understand english. They had the same problem with "english only" messages.

Petter, i mentioned that this CF55 is somehow useless in divemode, because we have real-time informations about what we are doing. We don't have to guess what's happening when/then... CF55 is ok for diveplanning software like OSTC-Planner where we can play around with different times and see what's happening to the decoplan.

ok
but don't forget that OSTC have a in-board decoplanner
the same as OSTC planner.

Speaking as one of the lazy English who does not learn another language, you can always 'cut and paste' the text into 'translate.google.com'...

Bit more effort true but the OSTC is a fine example of ... wait for it... GERMAN engineering so I don't mind the talk 'going local' (although google sometimes comes up with some interesting translations, often the German makes more sense to me!

Take this in good humour chaps :)

Yes. For me CF55 is a planning tool. Not something that belongs to a real-time deco calculation. I'm using a computer for diving and not a magic crystal ball >:D<

Or use Chrome. Right click / translate to . And you can set it up so it does it automatically.

I follow all languages on here with no effort.
