I have recently got the new OSTC3 and I wish to use it as a backup computer for dives with the AP Evolution CCR. Using the AP computer as a reference I find some difficulties in getting the same setup configurations in the OSTC3.
I understand that there is no difference between OSTC2 and OSTC3 in terms of program setup so if you have an OSTC2 and have the answers to some of my issues here your help is appreciated:)
1. In CCR mode, on the FIXED SETPOINTS page I have entered SP2 as 1.30 bar and have set the depth to 20m, as I have on my AP comp. This is for descent. In the AP comp. there is a separate entry to be put in for ascent and in the AP I have set the setpoint to switch to 0.70 at 5 meters. In the OSTC3 I could not find an option to set the relevant setpoints to switch upon ascent. How can this be done?
2. If, during ascent, I manually change my setpoint to 1.40 in my AP comp. how can I do this in the OSTC3?
3. During the dive, is there a simple option of changing to bailout gas and simply selecting the relevant gas in use?
4. I did not manage to figure out how the simulator works. Can anyone please give a detailed step by step procedure of how this works.
What I experienced so far is that even though I've set the depth to, say, 65 meters the simulator still displays 25 meters and the timer already starts ticking before you've entered the relevant gas mixtures.
5. I have used the OSTC3 only once, after entering all the correct gases, and even though there were no complications during the dive and I stayed on my CCR until the end of the dive, the OSTC3 gave me a deco time of approx. 120 mins. while my AP comp. gave me less than half that time.
6. Has anyone out there made a video somewhere which explains all these issues?
7. Believe me, I tried RTFM but that did not make me any wiser.

for:
1. in the OSTC3 is no option for an automatical setpoint switch. You have to do it manually. The deep you could set in the FIXED SETPOINTS page, is for the TTS calculation.
2. to switch the setpoint during ascent you have to press the left switch to show MENUE, the right switch to open the MENUE, the left switch to select SETPOINT, right for opening SETPOINT, selct witch the left switch your desired setpoint and set the setpoint with right switch.
3. to change the bailout gas, use a simular way like to select your desirde setpoint.
4. open the simulator withe the right switch. The simulator starts with a
25 meters. To go down press three times the left switch. To go up press the left switch four times. To end the simulation press the left switch two times and confirm it with the right switch.
5. I use the OSTC3 with my AP-Inspiartion and have the same deco time on the OSTC3 and the Vision-elektronic (I use the same GF an Setpoints settings on the Vision and the OSTC3).
