Hi, if anyone can help with my dead 2n! I tried to update the firmware from 2.50 to 2.70 using OSTc Planner, which failed within 5 seconds of starting. I now have a black screen and nothing else, i have tried to do the magnet reset,(hold a strong magnet on the centre screw, whilst plugged in to my USB port), but nothing. I get no illuminated LED's of any description. I have used the V1 bootloader and the V2 bootloader and still the same result. I have checked i am on the correct COM port as well. The bootloader gives me the following error message,
Connected to \\.\COM7 at 115200
HEX: 9 min old, INHX32,18Fcode+cfg, total=85599 bytes.
Searching for PIC ...
"*K" not found, instead found:"
ERROR!

Look here: read.php?2,4071

Use the bootloader v1 section. Instead of choosing to reboot the unit with the menu option, toggle the reset with a magnet on the backside of the unit.

Matthias

Problem was in bad USB wire. When I change it, it take 40 sec.

Well i managed to get it up and running, but not sure how i did it. I checked everything including the cable, but the result was the same. I tried v1 bootloader and had no success. After countless attempts with v2 bootloader, it just suddenly kicked in to operation, no illuminated LED's, no warning nothing, just straight to a bootscreen and upgraded.I know the battery was fully charged prior to the upgrade attempt, so really do not know what happened to start with. It may be an issue with OSTC planner, which is version 450, but no way of knowing for sure. Either way, happy again, thanks for the support, much appreciated.
