Hi Matthias,

I tried to update to 2.7 but cable was loose or pc crashed during update, the end result was a dead OSTC. I've looked up the forum tried to reboot with magnet trick using V.1 bootloader. It said

Searching for PIC ...Not found,
ERROR!

ERROR!

sorry it posted before I was ready. I got another cable still no joy, kind of stuck as to what to try next.

Hi Mike,

This has nothing to do with the cable:

> File not found: c:\temp\ostc\main_v018.hex
> ERROR!

Download the latest firmware file first (From the firmware section) and select it using the "browse" button. Besides from that, make sure to click on "Update" within 10s after resetting.
