OSTC 2 for a "normal" diver

Post by Uwe Scherner »

Hello !

I am diving for nearly 45 years and now I am 52. I know that the risk of a DCS became in my age higher and higher. I dive with air sometimes to 50 - 55m. To make it more save I started 10 years ago with Oxygen at 6m and an air computer. Now I use Nitrox 50 when I reach 20m and an air computer. My air computer is for me only a hint (minimum). I make my decompression intuitional - start at 9m when the computer says 3m...
My question:
Is the OSTC 2 with GF factors a good choice for me when I use air or air and Nitrox 50 or air and Oxygen to be on the verry save side?
Is a GF factor for example 25 / 75 a good choice because I have good experience with deep stops?

20/75 is a very conservative setting compared to a "classic" Bühlmann model computer like the Aladin.

If you'd like to try the OSTC, just send us an email: info@heinrichsweikamp.com
