OSTC2NFlooded usb compartment

I purchased a used 2N computer from a nothre diver. The computer worked fine and all that, BUT: as I was about to open the compartment to update the firmware I noticed that the USB compartment was flooded.
Now I have let it dry for a week and the computer looks to be working fine, I was able to install new firmware and the battery is charging. I checked the lowest battery V, and it was at 3.545.. so there could not have been any shortcircuits.. or else it would have been lowered to 0...
So the only thing is that I suspect it has been trapped in the compartment during cleaning or something.. and then left for 2 years.. cus the USB " tap" inside the micro USB looks brittle and about to break any minute, even though it works for now...
So my problem is this: I can hand it back to the seller and get my money back, but I got it for a REALY nice deal and it has been used 5 times in total, so I would rather not hand it back if I can get this fixed for an okay sum ( I'm student so money is an issue )
So, Would it be cheap to get the old USB in the computer replaced and a new one installed?
