OTSC Sport

Post by amolea »

Hello,

I want to buy the new OSTC Sport but first I have some questions:
-the maximum deep is 70 meters, what's happen if you go below this deep?
-I didn't find what battery is used in this DC, just that is a SAFT
-how many dives (hours) can be made with a SAFT battery.
-is there any possibility to monitor the tube pressure, or you take into consideration this info for future updates?
-in future you think it can be possible to receive an update for trimix? (I know that right now OSTC 3 support trimix)

Thanks.

Regards,
Alex

If you plan to go to TMX and go deeper than 70m in the future:
what is the point of buying OSTC sport?

Actually I still crying about my Suunto D9 (3 years old) that is irremediable broken that it cost a lot of money. For the new one I can spend 500 euro. If I could buy the OSTC 3 trust me you never saw this post.
Regarding going more than 70 meters it's just happen, of course usually 70 meters is enough but if from one reason I can't imagine I need to go deeper I need to know if the DC just stops or enter in error mode or what's happen.
For Trimix is just a nice to have (nice to know I will have in future).

Hi,

Don't buy it if you plan to go below 70m. The "Sport" will not get Trimix and no Gauge mode. This is a computer intend for sports divers where 70m is a reasonable limit.

Also check the manual (especially page 14 and 19) for the other questions: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=362&version=en

Cheers,
Matthias
