Safety stop on Sport

Hi all,

I am seriously considering buying an OSTC Sport. I have carefully read the manual and have been reading up on many technical aspects of the computer and it really seems the one for me.
There are however some unclarities left:

- the Sport gives you a safety stop when diving within NDL. Is this safety stop mandatory? Meaning will the computer "punish" you for skipping it?

- I get why on this model the GF can not be chosen freely and instead are predefined in different levels of restriction. Is there however any chance that in the future, the user would be able to set custom GF? I know this would put me in the direction of the OSTC 3, but as I don't dive trimix and price is an issue, the sport is more up my alley.

Looking forward to your answers!

Thank you very much for your answers, Matthias. I am happy that the GF update is coming!

I have the Sport on order with my local dealer and should receive it next week or the week after. Looking forward to using it!
