Today, we released the 3.03 stable for the OSTC2 Series (2N/Mk.2/2C). The first line was missing sometimes in the logbook details view.

Updating is very easy if you have 1.90 or later and using Windows.

Heute haben wir die Version 3.03 stable für die OSTC2 Serie (2N/Mk.2/2C) veröffentlicht. Im Logbuch fehlte manchmal die erste Zeile in der Detailansicht.

Das Updaten auf die neue Version ist sehr einfach, wenn bereits 1.90 oder später installiert ist und Windows verwendet wird.

I can not upgrade 3.03 because after updating firmware 3.02, the ostc 2n is no longer seen by the computer (Windows or Mac is indifferent)

Drivers are properly installed
I tried changing USB cable, nothing.
I tried changing the USB port, nothing.
what can I do?
when I connect the OSTC to the PC only charge the battery.

Considering the fact that there's new OSTC2 will the os be developed concurrently for both devices - the old and the new one?

If yes, for how long?

How long? - As long as it's required.

Hi Matthias,

Great work, as always. I haven't had a chance to do the upgrade yet, as I've been too busy working or diving (too much of the former, not enough of the latter).

Notwithstanding the compass, I noticed that the display on the website for the 2 looks quite different to the 2c.

Is there a new look? If there is, is it limited to the 2 or does the 2c get it/will get it?

Die Elektronik ist doch sehr unterschiedlich und sogar das verwendete Display ist ein anderes. Ein Upgrade ist daher nicht möglich oder wäre sehr aufwändig.

Can you expand on which graphical features made it into the 2C? I finally got around to putting 3.03 on last night and at least out of the water, I can't tell any visual difference.

You see that isn't how I personally interpreted what he said...I read it thus: "Some of the features will be in the OSTC 2C/2N and Mk.2 but not all of them", otherwise the wording would have been "Some of the feature will be in the OSTC 2C/2N and Mk.2 in the future, but not all of them."

However you seem to know more than me, so I shall defer to your knowledge.

All i can say is what i've seen so far (I don't have any insider knowledge) and 3.03 looks identical to previous releases as far as i can see.

Toni, most writers here are not nativly english / british so bear with us please and don't try to read inbetween the lines.

I am having trouble installing the latest software. I do not know what my current version is. How can i find this info, and is it possible to upgrade to ver 3.03 regardless of the current installed version?

The current firmware is shown in the first line after starting the OSTC. In the surface mode, of course.

hehe...yes, I found it. Silly me. But i was not able to upgrade using OSTCS planner like i used to. I had to download last version og Subsurface and use this for the upgrade.

I cant seem to turn on the computer on unless I have it underwater ?

has the button sensitivity changed?


Have you any advice ?

2C/2N OSTC's buttons are set hard-wired in hardware. No option to adjust this and it's not possible to add one.
