Solution to Bluetooth Connection Issue ?

In my first attemps to pair my OSTC 3 I experienced the same problems pairing my unit (time outs, readying error etc.) Since I follow this routine I had no pairing issues anymore (Windows 7):
set OSTC to Bluetooth mode
open Bluetooth connection window within Windows
right-click on the OSTC if listed (if not add device)
check in services what com port is used (in my case it varies 3-5)
start Companion
choose your model in companion, check Preferences next to OSTC model what com port is used and set the com port shown in services
I ALWAYS hit Reconnect ..... OSTC turns to service mode the connection is established and working
If I hit Next I get those errors mentioned in numerous threats.
If I tried Reconnect after I have pressed the Next button it won't work. You have to restart the Companion.
The Reconnect option works perfect.
I tried this routine with my OSTC 3 with OSTC 3 Firmware and my OSTC 3 converted to an OSTC Sport (see an earlier post) and it worked flawless.
Hope this helps. Happy Diving
