Hi,

Can anyone tell me the difference between OSTC3 and OSTC2NE (the new edition) concerning customisation (custom function)?
If so, is there a list of CF for OSTC2NE somewhere?

I heard that OSTC2NE has less possibilites for customisation than 2C but more custom functions than 3, but however the 2NE based on the same hwOS for 3.

I search the net but could not find a definite answer on this.

There are roughly the same settings to fiddle with in the OSTC3 as the OSTC2NE.

The only "extra" settings in the OSTC2NE are the sensitivity for the piezoelectric buttons.


There are quite a bit fewer customizations that can be made in the hwOS based computers than the old OSTC mk2/2N/2C firmware but most, if not all felt pretty useless to me. I'm not interestined in being able to exactly tune which color the numbers should be in, or how often to write CNS values to the internal logbook.

So, yes, there are fewer customizations, but it doesn't really matter.
