Companion says : cannot upgrade : readback is different

Post by ericbarbey »

OSCT Sport
Hello,
I usually to the upgrade normaly.
This morning I tried to upgrade from 10.20 to 10.21.
During the "verify" time, i Had strange letter in front of verify (picture of the OSTC)
Then, a the end of the process, OSTC Companion send the message : "cannot upgrade : readback is different"
I tried a couple of time : same message
I tried to install older version : same message.

Any ideas ?

The 10.20 stays installed and look to be OK, but I m not sure it will during a dive

Since this helped another user recently: Give subsurface a try.

https://subsurface-divelog.org/

Subsurface also can upgrade the firmware for the sport.

After a few manipulation, I can connect to Companion.

I try with SubSurface but was not able to upgrade to 10.21, the process stop in the middle.
the strange message like in the photo of the first message appears again on the OSTC during the process.

Some more idea ?
