OSTC 4: New Firmware V1.0.7

Hello,

The new hwOS4 firmware V1.0.7 with RTE 0.87 is now available for download: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=479&version=de (German) or http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=479&version=en (English)
Please note that an update of the RTE will result in the loss of some decompression information therefore don't update in between repetitve dives.

Changes since Version 1.0.5:
NEW: improved support for external communication with OSTC Companion
BUGFIX: temperature graph scaling in logbook
BUGFIX: trimix gases text in logbook
BUGFIX: NDL calculation information after deco dive with GF algorithm
CHANGE: lower limit set for no fly time
CHANGE: start of dive mode is now at one meter if computer is running
CHANGE: divetime less than one minute does not change no fly time and time since last dive
BUGFIX: brightness adjustments

Hallo zusammen,

Update hat wunderbar funktioniert, allerdings war danach der Akku total leer bzw. entladen, obwohl dieser vor dem Update bei "100%" Ladezustand stand. Gibt es für diese Konstellation eine Erklärung bzw. Vermutung?

Auch ein Neustart hat an dieser Stelle keine Abhilfe geschaffen (soweit mein Kenntnisstand gibt es dieses Phänomen auch bei dem OSTC 2 wo ein Neustart das Problem behebt).

P.S.: Als Vorschlag / Wunsch für das nächste Firmware-Update wäre der Akkuladestand zusätzlich in einer %-Anzeige, d.h. beim Ladevorgang selbst, toll.

beim RTE Update geht die Information über den Akkustand ebenfalls verloren.
Allerdings kommen RTE Updates nicht so oft vor.

It's coming (For MAC), please be a bit patient. For windows a first beta version is available: [ostc-planner.net] - a 64bit OS is needed in order to run the companion.

der Download hat wunderbar funktioniert, das Update auch. Danach war leider die Batterieanzeige weg und der Kompass ging auch nicht mehr.

Der Kompass funktionierte nach der Kalibrierung wieder aber der Akku zeigt immer noch leer an, nach 2 Stunden aufladen. Sollte dies wieder funktionieren wenn einmal vollgeladen wurde?

Edit:
5 Stunden aufladen hat dazu geführt, dass wenigstens der Akku voll war aber immer noch keine Prozentanzeige. Erst als der Computer ein paar Minuten ein war, hat er auf 99% umgeschaltet.

Hallo,

Das mit dem Akku ist so gewollt.

Das RTE (Real Time Environment) wurde mit diesem Update auch aktualisiert. Danach zeigt er 0% an (Obwohl der Akku natürlich nicht durch das Update leergesaugt wurde) weil er eben nicht mehr sicher weiss wieviel % im Akku sind. Ein vollständiges Aufladen kalibriert dies wieder. Wenn der Akku vor dem Update voll war, dauert das auch nur ein paar Minuten.

Gleiches für den Kompass, der muss neu kalibriert werden und auch die Uhrzeit neu gestellt. Daher ist ein RTE update auch nur selten nötig und ein normales Firmware-Update behält dafür sämtliche Einstellungen, Sättigung und Uhrzeit.
