The only version I can find still says it's based upon the 2014 firmware version. So it's the old one.

I think you are download directly from product page instead of firmware update page.

I have same issue where manual said August 2014 from product page.
I did download from firmware update page that manual said Jun 2016.

Check from firmware update page
