hi everyone,

i haven't been diving for the last 4 years, but I want to start again this weekend.

Unfortunately I am having trouble updating my OSTC MK2 to the newest firmware with my Macbook running El Capitan.

I am not getting any error message, when trying to install the FTDI USB Driver, but I cannot get a connection to my OSTC with Subsurface or any other program. The port is not shown on the software's dropdown menu...

I have even tried using OSTC Companion on WIN10 without success...

can anyone help?

What version of Subsurface are you using? I use El Capitan, Subsurface (latest official) and an OSTC mk2 and it works just fine.

i am using the recent version 4.5.6. but i am guessing, that the problem does not lay with subsurface but with the ftdi driver and / or the connection between mac and ostc

Is the OSTC awake? I.e. Is there stuff on the screen? Does it charge?

Try different USB cables as well...
