OSTC4 SIM malfunction?

Post by OceanDiver »

hello to all,

I believe the OSTC4 Simulator - OSTC4 firmware ver. 1.2.0 - malfunctions!

In my opinion the Simulator has at least two malfunctions in the SIM subrourtine:

1. changing "Intervall" from 0´to e.g. 10´ or any other value has no effect on the running Simulation. The time increment of the running simulation always remains at 1 sec (real-time Simulation cannot be accelerated?!).

2. Setting "Tauchzeit" to e.g. 20`and "Max. Tiefe" to e.g. 50m and starting the Simulation, the Simulation is running during descent and bottom time as expected. But even after 30 min of total dive time the Simulation is still remaining at max. depth running along with Simulation at 50m depth. The ascent is not properly started by the Simulation after 20´running time.

Can anybody confirm these behaviour?

Hi,

1) The "interval" means how long the surface interval will be before you start the dive. This only has effect when you have tissue load from a previous, real dive.

2) The divetime setting affects the runtime-planner only (Calculate deco), not the real time simulator which has a hard coded max. dive time.

Matthias
