What is "hwOS tech" ?

The normal hwOS incl. Trimix and CCR functionality (And comming very soon: PSCR).

It's the upgrade for OSTC Plus and the new OSTC2 from thier "SPORT" Version to the full, open-source version.

Is it also possible (or planned) to upgrade an "old" OSTC sport to hw OS Tech (perhaps for a higher upgrade fee)?. Or is it technicaly impossible?

OSTC Sport can't be upgraded. While almost identical the hardware is not the same, especially the display glass.

how is an upgrade done? i.e. does the OSTCplus with hwOS sport to be sent to HW to get an hwOS tech on it?

Just contact us: info@heinrichsweikamp.com You can upgrade the unit at your place and you get the upgrade firmware from us then. We need the serial number of the computer to be upgraded. No need to ship it to us.
