Hallo,

nach dem Update von 1.2.0 auf 1.2.6 habe ich folgendes Problem. Im Infofenster der Starseite erscheint "Bitte updaten: RTE"
- Reset Menü / Neustart / RTE neu starten bleibt ohne Reaktion / bei Firmware neu starten wird der OSTC 4 neu gestartet, aber die Fehlermeldung bleibt.

Auch habe ich Probiert mit dem Companion auf meinem Mac das Update zu wiederholen, aber die Fehlermeldung bleibt. RTE lässt sich nicht von 0.96 auf 0.98 updaten

Still suffering when it updates.
MUST NEED TO
1) Reset/Reboot RTE/Firmware/Settings few times.
2) WAIT LCD OFF(~2mins) PLUS FEW MINUTES LET IT OFF
3) Start to upload part3(RTE)

RTE(Part-3) update methods

Hi,

With every update I get this message (Bitte apdaten: RTE). I do the following:

- I wait until my OSTC goes to sleep.
- Then activate it again
- activate BT again
- and use Companion to apply the update again


The go to sleep part is essential...

With the last update I did loose Date Time info (that was new...)

2nd method(If above mine method not works)
use dctool with this options(change last device option for your serial ports)
--family ostc3 --model 0x3B --verbose --logfile dctool.log fwupdate --firmware OSTC4update_170307_FW_1_2_6__RTE_0_98.bin /dev/tty.OSTC4-XXXXXX-SPP or COMXX

can you make the dctool available to us. Unfortunately I haven't found it on the HW website.

If you use 2nd method(dctool firmwareupdate), OSTC enters "Service mode" and you feel slightly slower than companion tools(verbose option causes slow, you can disable it too)

Hurrahhh, was able to do the update with Subsurface. As far as I can tell it all went well.

Battery shows same charge as before and also the time is correct. Well almost, its now 4 minutes out but I guess thats the duration of the update.[sub][sub][/sub][/sub]
