OSTC SPORT PROBLEMS...

Where to start...
every year it's the same issue... (probably because I update to little)

i'm using OSTC companion v3.00 beta 8 to install firmware 10.33 (current is 10.26)

like every year I cannot connect to my MacBook Pro, I just don't see my ostc sport in the list of BT devices.

when i start BT on my ostc sport it just says starting and after 2 secs done.
and then nothing happens...

this year I've also managed to delete my communication port settings... and don't know what it was before (too long).

Can you please advise what to do this year?

thanks
Jurgen

Hello Jurgen,

There are no known general issues with this MAC OS Version and the Sport. Please try the obvious first: Decrease distance between OSTC and MAC, use a 3,6V battery instead of 1,5V. If the unit is not shown at all, you can reset the Bluetooth Chip in the OSTC by the following "trick":

Remove battery
Insert battery and press right button repeatedly (Hold-down for magnetic switches)
-> The Bluetooth Icon appears
Press left button and the unit will start normally

-> Try again adding the OSTC as a Bluetooth Device.

regards,
Matthias

Thanks for the reply Matthias,

I've managed to add the OSTC as a BT device again, but it loses connection instantly.

I'll try the 3,6V battery and see if this works, I'll keep you posted.

Cheers
