Logbook lost after battery failed

Hello,

During a dive, a low battery alarm was displayed on my OSTC 3+ with hwOS 2.15. I could not change the battery before the following (shallow) dive, so the computer stopped working. At this point all sounds normal.

After replacing the battery with a brand new 3.6 V lithium, I discovered that not only the last dive was lost, which would be normal, but the full logbook. Is there an explanation ? A writing to the non-volatile memory at the precise moment where the computer stopped working ?

Fortunately, I've downloaded the logbook the day before...

Regards.

Hello Didier,

It _should_ not happen. But when the power is lost in a bad moment during the dive this can corrupt the entire logbook.

Something that's not completely unavoidable due to the OSTC hardware.

I'd suggest that you reset the logbook now to make sure the memory is properly formatted.

Sorry, no better news for you.

regards,
Matthias
