Simulator seems to continue at depth passing entered dive time

Post by chrisrms »

Hi,

I tested a 20 min. simulated dive at 50 m. Though after the 20 min. the simulated dives seems to go onwords at 50 m. it does not start ascending. Is this normal? Btw, on the OSTC4 under Information RTE 1.3 and OS 1.3.1 is stated.

Hi Chris,

This is normal. the bottom time in the simulator is only for the "Calculate Deco" results table, not for the real time simulator.

Hi Matthias,

ah, ok, thanks for your feed-back.

So if I understand that right, one can not do a realtime simulation of a dive from beginning until end of dive. I mean, I set 20 min. at 50 m. and then activate "Start Simulator". I thought this would, after the 20 min. bottom time passed, start to simulate de ascend. But perhaps simulation of the ascend is something which is not needed/usefull?

At the end of your desired bottom time, click SIM: -1m until you are at zero. And when "Ascent follows decostops" is checked, the unit will stop at all deco stops until they are cleared.
