Problem:

Unable to connect OSTC2 (version 1,9) to mac (OS v 10.14.2) with OSTC companion v 3.00 beta.

The driver was installed and permitted. Switched bluetooth on/off, multiple attempts.

Still a constant error message on OSTC Companion:

How this is fixed? User with a problem is a non-Mac-wizard, which is probably obvious.

Another question:

Is there a firmware for OSTC2, which shows the remaining deco time with all the deco gases available (for example EAN50 + oxygen 100%) and not just with the current gas in use at the moment? I mean similar to what for example Suunto Hello2 does. If not, knowledge of this is also useful information how proceed with the problem...

the TTS (Time to Surface) is the sum of all deco stop times plus the time it takes for all the ascent sections inbetween. The deco stops are calculated taking into use all gases that are enabled, i.e. tagged "Start", "Travel" and "Deco". Switching to the next gas is triggered by the "Change Depth" Setting: the gas with the shallowest change depth that is >= (deeper or equal) current depth will be used. If you want the OSTC to _not_ consider a preset gas in the calculations, you have to set it to "Disabled" (surface mode) or you can do that - even temporary - by setting it to "Lost" (and activating it again once you saw the calculation results) while in the dive.

You should definitely update the unit, you'll be surprised how much the firmware has improved since then.

So, how to update on the MAC?

- Delete the OSTC in the systems Bluetooth settings
- Re-pair the OSTC

It's normal that the OSTC is shown as "disconnected" shortly after pairing. It will toggle to "Connected" once the OSTC Companion access it.

Start the companion, select "OSTC2" and click on the small "gear icon" next to the drop-down list. Choose the port containing the OSTC's name and serial.

Click on "Upgrade Firmware" (Without prior "connect") and select the current "v_300_en_hwos_ostc3_firmware.hex" you have downloaded and deflated before from https://heinrichsweikamp.com/service/firmwares

Update should start now.
