OSTC cR with Firmeware 3.01 (3.03 beta)

I really like the alternative layout in dive mode (layout big) as it focus on the relevant information.

BUT: With my OSTC cR I can't use layout big in dive mode when diving CCR as the ppO2's of the O2 sensors aren't shown. With 3.01 not any ppO2 information is shown!

Diving CCR you have to see (allways) the ppO2 value of all 3 sensors in order to understand which is working correctly and which is not. To show just the derived ppO2 isn't enough as there are circumstances when the derived/used ppO2 for deco calc is just wrong!

So my feature requests for OSTC cR in dive mode would be:
1. Could you please add the ppO2 values of all 3 sensors (!) to the alternative layout big on a OSTC cR? E.g. as a row in the middle of the display like in the layout normal?
2. When diving with fixed ppO2 Setpoint it would be great to see the fixed ppO2 Setpoint instead.
3. Making the menu directly available in dive mode while using the layout big without changing back to layout normal (when pressing the left button for menu) would be good, too!

I hope at least #1 and #2 can make it in a new release!

Hi Georg,

are you sure you put the 3.03 beta on your OSTC? Because 3.03 does show the sensor's ppO2 values via the associated custom view, because in 3.03 all custom views are now available in big layout mode, too. Also the menu system is now directly accessible while in big layout mode. Pls. check via main menu -> Settings -> Information which firmware you have. It should show 3.03 B.1 in yellow.

Hi Georg,

Did you, by accident, install the version for the OSTC 2 TR on your OSTC cR? Then the sensor functions are not available at all.

Switched back to 3.01 as I'm in France for cave diving right now. So I can't retrace...

After installing the right firmware version of 3.03 beta, I can confirm, that within the alternative layout BIG in dive mode the values of all 3 sensors is shown.

Switching into the menu works without changing to layout normal as in version 3.01.

Enhancement request:
The font size of the sensors value in layout BIG should be much bigger than that in layout normal. Diving CCR all sensors information is crucial comparable with dive depth, time and deco.
Maybe you could reduce/skip out the labels of the values (Sensor 1,2,3) or even better don't show the values as part of the toggle through middle line giving them place according their importance as the other standard information shown always.

Anyhow: Thank you for improving the product with every version!

checked your idea for a bigger display of the ppO2 values, but unfortunately this is not possible as with the next bigger font available the three values won't fit into one line any more.

maybe it would be possible with the format #.# for each sensor's value or if possible #.#x where #.# stands for a bigger font available and x for the small font.
Just as an idea...

sorry, doesn't fit either...

There are 320 pixels per line available, the medium font has a width of 24 pixels, the large font comes at 40 pixels. The decimal point has half of the width of the respective digits.

The current layout uses the medium font, so x.xx x.xx x.xx consumes 10.5 width units of 24 px, i.e. 252 in total, leaving 68 = 2 x 34 px for spacing the three outputs.

The next font has a width of 40 px, so a full line could take 8 digits. An output format x.x x.x x.x would take 7.5 x 40 = 300 px, leaving a tiny 2 x 10 pixels for spacing. It just doesn't work...
