Hi All - just checking as the manual is unclear. Does the forecast TTS take account of deco gases in my gas list??
Thanks

YES!
The forecast is calculated on basis of all the available deco gases.
If a gas becomes unavailable during the dive, you have to exclude it by use of the dive menu -> gaslist -> more -> lost gas to take it out of the ascent / deco calculation.
On the other hand, during the dive you can pick a gas from the gas list which is originally disabled (or configure an "emergency gas" you grabbed from someone else), and the OSTC will compute with this gas until during the ascent calculation it finds a better one (by criteria of the change depths) and will continue with that one, and so on.

So long as the gases are active the dype set to deco and have a change depth set then yes, it should.
If the change depth is 0m then no, it'll be ignored.

I assumed it did, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for confirming guys.

Another way to check is by switching on gas needs calculation and looking if consumption is building up on the respective gases. When running a dive in the deco calculator, the gases are directly depicted by color in the stops table - another way to probe for correct gas configuration.
Another word on the change depths: they are the key driver for putting the gas changes into the calculation. It could be done by the MOD and ppO2 limits, but then e.g. air could be auto-selected as a deco gas from off 67 meters - not a good idea. So control is made explicit by means of the change depth setting, allowing to figure in END considerations, too.
