My OSTC Plus came with a Trustfire battery. In one of HW's facebook posts it references a battery comparison at http://www.dampfakkus.de/akku_liste-nac ... WAAgxjP8kM

The Trustfire battery came out badly in the test.
I see in the sticky topic that HW are now delivering "Sanyo UR14500P" batteries with the OSTC Plus.

I'm on my 3rd Trustfire battery but this one seems to be lasting well, although it has failed once at just under 50% charge.

Would it be worth my while changing to a "Sanyo UR14500P" battery?

Which is most reliable over many cycles?

Hi Ron,

They test with 2A current down to 3V. It's good to compare between different brands. But the current in the OSTC plus is much lower and the usable capacity is higher. We test at 0.3A down to 2.5V and every battery we ship out is tested now. We've also dismantled a few and they are based on the UR14500P from Sanyo.

So the Trustfire isn't so bad when used in the OSTC Plus at much lower current?

Should I keep with the Trustfire for now or swap it out?

When I do need a new battery should I go for a Sanyo UR14500P?
