I have just gone from 10.53 to 10.58 and although I dont really like the layout, I CANNOT now link to PC via bluetooth.

I have also tried to re install the firmware 10.58 but as I now CANNOT link PC to Sport, I am stuck????

have tried rebooting everything and a fully charged battery inserted prior to update to 10.58, so all full still.
Bluetooth on dive comp and PC and was all great until after update??????

It may be coincidence but the old OSTC sport with the red buttons need a quality 1,5V Battery (Like the Energizer E2 AA) or a 3,6V Battery for the bluetooth to operate properly. The Bluetooth module inside still has the same firmware as before (This part is never updated with a normal OSTC firmware update)

good quality KeepPower 3.6 rechargeable...fully charged prior to update and now no link.

Now i see that there is a version 10.60 to rectify the problems that I now encounterBUT HOW can i update if dive comp and PC cannot link???

i just updated my old OSTC sport from 10.58 to 10.60 successfully with latest Companion version 3 beta 8.
It was mentioned in another thread, that you have to select "ostc3+" as model.
Worked for mine.
After update to v10.60 mine is also (finally) recognized as ostc sport again in Subsurface and Companion.

thanks but still struggling as i downloaded Companion3 beta8 and upgraded to 10.60 brilliant or so i thought.....but now it will not recognise sport

this is driving me insane as somehow i have managed to link it as suggested by Stardrowned to an OSTC3+ but now nothing again....WTF!!!!

Also tried to downgrade and struggled as my device seemed to be recognized as ostc sport, but only once... Ended up with messages "not an OSTC sport", "could not enter service mode" and finally "could not open port".

Now here is what i did:
-Reboot computer
-Reboot ostc via reset menu
-Set companion to ostc3+ again
-Update firmware with older v10.53 HEX-File

To install the firmware, it actually does not matter what you select: OSTC cR, OSTC 3, OSTC 3+, OSTC 2, OSTC sport.... as long as the correct port is set (Small gear Icon).

Just click on "Upgrade Firmware" (Without prior "Connect") and upgrade starts no matter of the existing firmware's version, the firmware's version you install or what computer you selected (From the list above, selections "frog" and "OSTC Mk.2/2N/2C" are not correct).

EDIT: We have a new companion coming very soon (Well, at least the Windows version) which does no longer distinguish between the different (2014+) models.

I am now sorted but am back to v10.53 which is in my very humble opinion a great display of relevant info for the recreational diver..........I have 350 dives in many different enviroments and am a BSAC DL, that dives all year round inc the UK.

These software problems are a pain and HW should test their systems properly before rushing to release potentially problematic so called updates.

Unfortunately this leaves me now very reluctant to update.....which in its sely is problematic.........HW sort your act out!!!!!!

As can be read in the thread above, the only real "issue" is that you have to select "OSTC 3+" in the current OSTC Companion and not "OSTC sport" as you were used to do. Is this really that problematic as your last post indicates?

Besides that, the 10.60 is way better and much mode powerful then the older version. use the alternative layout and almost any figure is _bigger_ then is was in 10.53 while still having the option to get more information then in the 10.53.
