Der OSTC4 gibt dazu nach dem Update nötigenfalls eine Meldung aus. Grund ist, dass möglicherweise auch sehr alte Teile der Firmware wie der Schriftsatz und der Bootloader aktualisiert werden.)

Wegen aktuell noch nicht ganz geklärten Problemen mit der iOS App OSTConf empfehlen wir, das Update mit dem OSTC Companion auf einem MAC oder Windows PC einzuspielen.

Wir empfehlen nach dem Update die Einstellungen durch zu gehen, da evtl. nicht alle Einstellungen von der alten Firmware übernommen werden können.

Folgende Änderungen und Neuerungen gibt es seit der V 1.4.7:

FIX: firmware version in logbook data

[1.4.8] with RTE 1.80
FIX: Important stability updates
FIX: Language updates
FIX: Spurious spikes in recorded logbook
FIX: NDL was logged incorrectly

(Depending on your current version it may be required to start the update twice. The OSTC4 will show you a message after the update if this is required. Reason is, that this update also may update some older parts of the firmware like the font table and the bootloader).

We recommend to check your settings after the update since not all settings may be copied into the new version.

Because of currently existing issues with the iOS App OSTConf we recommend to install the upgrade with the OSTC Companion on a MAC or Windows PC.

I tried to update but impossible.

my computer keeps going from "download mode enabled" mode to a stand-by mode.

Any suggestions ?

The companion indicates "block timeout" after "uploading part 1 : FW v1.05.01..."

Exactly the same problem occured with my OSTCs 4 as Claude described.
Unable to update firmware from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1

This manual is correct and the update from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1 will update Firmware and RTE (But no fonts/graphics).
