Hi,

my OSTC4 #516 suddenly doesn't function correctly anymore.
When I started it, there was 00:00:00 for time and 00.00.00 for date.
Then I tried to enter time and date again, time was ok, but date is only possible for 2017 and 2018, it is not possible to enter any other year.
I tried then to transfer a dive from the OSTC4 to my DiveMate but this was not possible anymore, the OSTC4 counts up to 100% and then says 0 dives found.
Now date and time is blinking in light gray color on main screen.
Then I entered Reset Menu and did a Reboot, but no change.
Then I also did a Reset Settings, but also no change.
The battery is fully charged, it says 99%

Hi,

The firmware you are using (Presumably 1.3.0) is not fitted for years above 2018. Update to the latest 1.5.1 to have this fixed: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21989

ah, ok, did not know, yes i have the beta 1.3.5 which was installed on the unit when i received it on the OSTC4.

Now I try to install but I can not get the OSTC4 connected. In Windows I created a com port, windows named it COM5, but then when I connect, the companion says device did not respond. Any idea what the problem could be? BTW I use the latest Companion 3.1

I finally succeded and was able to install after several go's the firmware 1.5.1 as well as the RTE 2.1

Nor the only problem I seem not to be able to solve is that the battery reads 4.06 V but the battery icon is red and the icon shows near empty.
Even the maintenance restore battery charge seems not to work. Any idea how to solve this please?

This is normal when updating from this version. Put the unit on the charger until you get a green "charging bolt". After that, the battery is calibrated again.

I did put it on the charger and yes it behaves like you said, everything seems to be fine now, great, thanks very much for help.

So let's hope everything works fine next dive with this new 1.5.1
