Multiple Problems after Update to 3.07 (persisting after 3.08)

Hi
I own an OSTC 2. About a month ago, I updated to 3.07 and that process went without problems.
Today I wanted to go for the first dive after the update. However, I could not start the OSTC using the buttons when checking and left it at the surface. After I came back from the water, the screen was on with a blue/white play button sign and no reactivity to touch on the buttons. Some minutes later, it turned on but showed what I thought is the "sticky button after 3.07" behaviour mentioned in this forum recently (normal function of left button, but right button doesnt react to push. After varying interval waiting, it looks like it’s pushing the button by itself in a random fashion-mostly the right one but rarely also the left). Navigating the menu was annoying but possible slowly. I read about the update to 3.08 then and was aiming to do that. However I must have been in a special mode of hwos, as I could not locate the bluetooth mode in the menu, but an option to restart the OSTC (which I've never seen before). After a reboot, I could go to bluetooth mode and install 3.08 successfully.
--> Anyway, the sticky button issue (or whatever you call the strange behaviour) persists with 3.08
--> Additionally, the backlight of the screen goes from bright to dark all the time now
All updates were done with the iOS app.
What should I do now? The OSTC is not usable like this at the moment. could I downgrade to 3.05? Were could I get the old firmware files?
Thanks
Fabian
Edit: to clarify the issue with the backlight of the screen: I meant it constantly dims from low to high intensity, maybe in 5s intervals.
Edit 2: My computers serial is #17203
