Temperatue

Hello,

I've push the set temperature button in JDIVElog and now my ostc temperature is no more correct (error of about 2-3°c).

What the best procedure to set it up back?

I set it up back by comparaison with a thermometer but ...

It seems that when connected to the PC the displayed temperature slowly encrease. For example when I turn it on it indicate 22.3°c and after about 5' of connection it was already 22.8°c. Temperature near the ostc is 22.6 and didn't change. ostc and thermometer was at the same place for hours. I suspect it's because the batterie is charging. Maybe better to do it in a liquid but can't put ostc in the water when connected to the pc.
Or the best way is just to setup immediatelly after connecting to the pc before is has time to heat?

ps: of course aving ostc display 22.3 when actual temperature is 22.6 is quite good. My main question is: do you also observe this temperature increase when connected?

Regards

Hello,

The temperature is a by-product of the pressure sensor. It's required to achieve a good pressure accuracy within the temperature range. It's not a precision temperature sensor and differences of +-1°C are normal and not critical.

Temperature increasing by a few degrees (1-2) during charging is normal and -as you guessed- result of the charging process. Charging a battery always includes losses of energy, these losses usually result in heat.

Do not put the OSTC into liquid while charging!

Cheers,
Matthias

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

But why did they put this stupid button in JDIVElog? :( It change your temperature setup to something wrong without confirmation.
