Thanks for the support. Apparently there are still quite a few old OSTCs out there, regularly accompanying happy owners in their dives.
I certainly am one of them !

Thanks for the support of old OSTC.
This release will resolve my problem of date because for the moment I had reset date to 2011 instead of 2021 ...
Thanks a lot.

Hello,

I updated my 2 OSTC 2N and Mk2.

After this update I noticed that the ascent rate displayed was wrong.

She's about 2x too fast.

Do you have a solution?

thanks in advance

I see this as well. During a normal ascent (actual speed verified via the JJCCR Petrel) the OSTC constantly warns with speeds in the 15-17m/min range.
@PlatinCH Do you happen to remember what version you were using before upgrading?

@heinrichsweikamp Any idea what could be causing this?

Code: Select all

New in 3.14:
Beta Release
CHANGE: Calculate velocity over a 6sec period
Maybe this change ? https://code.heinrichsweikamp.com/publi ... afe90796d6

Looks like it will take a 4 seconds mbar change window, but still use the old 2s multiplication constant (== 39)?
Seems incorrect..

Hello,

This was in fact an unfinished change in the code. So we'll do a 3.16 with the old 2 seconds interval again, which is perfectly fine in terms of averaging and displaying the velocity value to the user.

I’m so pleased to see my 2n is still viable and supported.
Getting back into my diving after a break and good to see all is good with my trusty 2n that has kept me alive over many dives!
