OSTC 2: Battery 99% after Empty Battery (T4)

Hello,
i stored my OSTC 2 (built in battery) for a long time (> 12 month) and the battery ran flat (did not turn on).
After putting it on a charger, it turned on via the bootloader (blue "play" button displayed). Afterwards it asked for the battery type. I selected "OSTC 2 / TR (T4)"..
Now it´s saying 99% 3,2V.. So essentially the battery is empty, but it´s showing 99% state of charge.
This is really bad IMHO, as it looks like a full battery, when the battery is not full. So you might go diving without realizing that you battery will run out within seconds / minutes.
Proposed change:
- Assume Battery empty if voltage < 3,7V and battery charge status is "unknown". Just do normal charging logic till 4,2V.. When 4,2V is reached just set it to 100%.
At least don´t asume 99/100% if the state is unknown.
Maybe even introduce an "unknown" charge state and only assume 99% / 100% if fully charged once.
Info regarding my OSTC
Firmware: 3.12
Serial: 15832
