End of charge voltage

Post by Tingsten »

Hello all,

I have some issue with my new OSTC4. Although it is always indicating a high % regarding battery (always >80%), it shut down usually after 1h (of dive) or few hour of idle mode.
I did the firmware update v1.6 but the behavior stays the same.
When I check in Reset->Maintenance Mode the voltage indicates 3.55V (maximum i have ever seen) which is probably very low.
Could you confirm that i should see something higher?

Thx you a lot,
Tingsten

A full battery has ~4.1V in the OSTC 4.

Ok, so that might be the charger that is faulty?!
Can I try with a generic Qi charger? (I will try to find one)
Otherwise is there anything else to try?

Thx you,

I always leave the OSTC overnight on the charger. The charging slows down when the charger gets hot. A couple of hours is not enough depending on how discharged the battery is.

Thx you for the help.
I have finally remooved the backplate (so i am sure the charger is located where it should) and let it charge for 24h. I ended up with an voltage over 4.05V so i guess it is fully charged now!
Maybe a hole in the backplate could be a nice upgrade to the unit (the charger would nicely fit in...)

Have a nice weekend.
