I have a xtar14500 that I use as a chargable battery, but i bought a saft LS14500 lithium as a backup.
And the device would not start with the non chargable battery. It starts only with the chargable battery.
Is this an issue with the frimware? Should a reset fix the issues?
OSTC Sport won't start with a SAFT lithium 3.7v battery.

No. The unit must show something as soon there is sufficient voltage between the "+" and when the battery cap is properly closed. Make sure the "+" contact of the battery mates the little "+" contact at the bottom of the battery compartment.

Tried with an energizer plus. Still the same. No contact/power on.
Only with the xtar so far
I'll try with a different 1.5v battery after I grab one from the store

I've tried several different batteries.
So far only the GP alkaline worked apart the xtar.
I've noticed that some batteries fit snugger and ones looser. The ones that work are looser. Is it possible that the contact point shifted?
