HW HUD Help!

Hi, I'm not sure this is in the right place, but I'm after some help.
I recently purchased a "new and unused" HW HUD.
As per the instructions I have connected cables from the hud to the electrics box.
Insert the battery (new saft 3.6v) but no lights come on from the hud.
The green led lights up when I press the pizo button, so I know I'm pressing the button correctly to turn it on.
I have also connected cells, this doesn't make a difference.
