Request for a pad charging "USB C"

Hi,
It would be great you could sell a pad charging device equipped with an USB C plug.
With the EU regulation on USB C, we have more and more C plugs chargers and adaptors C --> A are not powerful enough for most of them (the best one I noticed is only 18W, a U-Green model ; maybe the only one giving this value).
Thx for your attention.

Hi,
We attach a cable to our charger so that it is sealed watertight. This allows the dripping wet OSTC to be placed on the charger without causing corrosion problems. USB-C is not intended to be permanently connected to a cable, but requires a USB-C socket on both sides. Power supply units with permanently installed cables are no problem, pure devices that only draw current are problematic (if you want to make it standard-compliant). For this, you would have to install special cables with some electronics built into the plug. “Most” power supplies would deliver 5V right away, but we have tried this out with some good, standard-compliant power supplies and it is more complicated than expected with a permanently attached cable. However, we will certainly offer a USB-C-compatible charger at some point. But it will take a little longer.
Regards,
Matthias

Thanks for your reply, Matthias but I'm note sure I fully understand it. Maybe because I'm not skilled into USB interfaces and there is not only a mechanical change btw A & C ?
To my mind, it's "only" (yep, working 35 years by a car maker, I really know what means "only"

, new studies, new validation, new reference, aso ; this is never so simple) changing the "mechanical end" of the USB connector ; w/o changing anything else.

No, it's not that easy here. There's another problem: Your OSTC #11150 from 2015 does only support Qi1.1 and any new charger (Incl our current models) does not support this anymore. One known working charger for these old OSTC 2 is the Goobay #59877 - This combined with a USB-C to Micro-USB Cable could solve your issue here.

Matthias

Thx Matthias ; an important information here w/ this only Qi 1.1 standard compatibility.
