mk1 ZH-L16 GF vs no GF

Hello,
I dove yesterday and since I was using air, I was in ZH-L16 OC. My back-up was a suunto Vytec DS.
Between the two computer I have 10 min deco difference.
Suunto: 2 min at 3 m
mk1: 2 min 12 m
2 mn 9 m
2 min 6 m
5 m 3m
For a dive at 42 m max, I was a bit surprised by the deco of the OSTC.
I dove with the OSTC in ZH-L 16 GF OC and I did not see such behavior, in 85/85, it is quite close to the Suunto.
Does one of you can explain such behavior ?
The firmware is 1.60 and other parameters are standard.
Antoine
By the way, Zugersee is f****ng cold

wierd
how long was your bottom time?
normally suunto has a higher conservatisme. And I don't think you can lower your conservatisme on a vytec?
I know you can with the Helo.
did your gas settings match? Maybe vytec still on NX 28 or something like that?

Hi,
Both computers where on air and the Suunto is in moutain mode (first level). Profil is V style and I was at 43 m deepest at 17 min.
On a french speaking forum, same behavior was also reported.
For the moment I will switch to GF and enjoy the skull when I will use air

From various readings on the forum, I have the feeling taht ZH-L16 without GF for OC is bugged or acting like it was with GF. Do people of HW have a comment on that ?

Do you mean that particular forum we are chatting on? I don't see what you're talking about...
I mainly dive with ZH-L16 and believe me, behavior is not the same as a dive with GF. Most of my dives are 70m - 15min, and the first decostop is at 12 or, rarely, 15m. Unless you dive with 80-80 or 90-90 GF, you can't expect such a behavior with GF.

Hi all,
We're very busy putting the 1.70 ready - and yes, the 1.65beta is buggy with the gas changes!

to be honnest, I do meet the same behaviour with my MkII...
Yestrday, dive on 49m with air, ZH16-L OC, I don't remember exactly, but max 10-12 minutes between 40 and 49m, then slowly go up...
Cressi Archmede 2: 3min/3m
OSTC MkII: 1min/12m 1min/9m 2min/6m 5min/3m...

With the 1.70 you'd get:
11min@49m:
2min @ 6m
5min @ 3m

Matthias

Yes, we'll upload it tomorrow. Just a few more tests in the pressure chamber.

i tried fast (the speed change is great!) simulation
with nitrox 29 - 31min at 36m, 6m last deco stop,
gf 20/90:
1min @ 12m
3min @ 9m
0min @ 6m (sic!

)
14min @ 6m
but when performed with real time simulator
then at least one deco stop 1min @ 15m
is displayed.
