Hi all,
Now available: Another beta for the Mk.2. Thanks to increasing help from users (Thanks a lot

another new version with bug fixes and we have new feature, as well. The On-board simulator now computes gas consumption (Separately for all gases) for the planed dive. Make sure to check/reset CF56 (Bottom Gas usage) and CF57 (Deco Gas usage) after the update!
Have fun and dive safely.
Matthias

Thx a lot!
I like the way you clear new CF and show them red after installing. The 1/10 switch is actually a 0.1/1 switch!?

i like the new feature. Great Idea. Thanks.
i think it would look better if the calculated gas consumption text align is right and not left.
i dont need the letter behind the dot... maybe a little "l" after the gas consumption.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ich mag die neue Funktion. Gute Idee. Danke.
Robert
(macht unbedingt so weiter)

It would be nice to put in tank size as well (maybe in gas list) and get pressure drop.
Maybe tank size available show Bar, no tank size available to l/min or just a CF to decide.

Or auto-magically: if given consumption of gas is less than 10 (or 9 or 12 or ...) - it is defined in the bar/min, and if more - is in l/min. I assume that usually gas consumption is between 12 and 36 l/min, and the smallest tank to breathe has a capacity of 4 l (pony, deco). Value 12 means consumption of 12 l/min and value 9 - 9 bar / min (for 36 l/min and 4 liters tank). Typically: 20 l/min = 2 bar/min (tank 10 l) or 0.83 bar/min (for twin 2x12). Value 9 is extremally high for bar/min and abnormally low for l/min.

Hi,
First of all thanks for the beta, the new features and the chance to give it a test!
Just had a quick go with 1.83 in the (jdivelog-controlled) simulator mode.
Here are a couple of issues that are numbered below for clarity, however they might be related and/or connected.
The test that yielded these issues was rather simple. L16-GF OC 10/80, using only air. Straight descent to 66m and then observe what happens.
By the way, at some point in the dive, the clock (both divetime and stopwatch) seem to hang for a second, and then jump two seconds at once.
Issue 1:
The average depth calculation seems bugged, at some point it gets shallower (when it should get deeper), I think this issue was already mentioned elsewhere.
Issue 2:
The GF stop calculations can´t be right. In my simulation they sometimes jump from deep to shallow. For example while lingering on 66m, the first stop is 21m and a few seconds later it is 9m. It will change from high to low several times.
I have not been able to reproduce this yet.
Issue 3:
And then the deco obligation is way too high, at some point it just starts to explode. For example, 19 mins at 66meters on air = TTS >120 mins!
Issue 4:
The First/deeper Stops are definitely not deep enough for GF 10/80.
Issue 5:
So then I decided to ascend and do a couple of the stops as requested, and see what happens.
Funny enough, after completing the first stop, the computer suddenly showed a new stop that was deeper than the last one just finished. So I descended back down, completed that stop and right after that one was done, there was another one appearing out of the blue, even deeper. The rest went as planned, although I did give up after a couple of minutes because the deco obligation was a bit too much.

I also noticed some random deco data doing a simulation.
Same 45m dive as above but simulated on the OSTC
Sitting at 45m still within no deco time. At about 1min 54 it switched to a 9m stop for a few seconds then back to no deco, at about 3'12" it jumped to a 12m stop for a few secs then back to no deco again. After that it seems to follow the deco OK

Thanks for the new feature. Great idea!
I've got a generally question to the updates!
After the SW update, I have to reboot or reset the MK2 in the software?
Thanks
Mike

Hello community,
Diveplan 21min/60m
GF 10/85
last 6m
CF55 3min
Gaslist
G1:100/0 6m active
G2:50/15 21m active
G3:32/0 0m
G4:21/35 0m
G5:18/45 0m active/first
Gas usage:
Gas usage:
G1:100/0 6m = 3239.4
G2:50/15 21m = 1212.0
G3:32/0 0m
G4:21/35 0m
G5:18/45 0m
TTS: 54'
Where is the third gas?
1212.0 = O2 + 50/15
3239.4 = 18/45
As already said: back gas consumption is always G1, no gas usage on G5 in this example.
As Chilihead had already proposed to move the gas liters right-aligned would beautify the screen.
CF55 is working somehow in the simulator (show decoplan), the 3min are not counted down in realtime.
I saw on bitbucket issue #17 still open, so I guess no bugfix on that in 1.83.
Cheers
Heiko
@Mike: I do always a reboot after loading a new version, maybe I'm microsoft spoilt.

Did a short (wet) dive today which looked not so bad while being in the water and checking the unit from time to time. The deco showing looked similar to my (hardwired) shearwater predator. After downloading the profile there seems to be still some serious issues concerning the deco calculation. See the attached profile - Jumping from 9m to no stop and even from 12m to no stop looks strange in my humble opinion.

Thanks, that seems to be the key to most of the described issues with the new deco code: Routine violates allowed max. CPU time here...
Cheers,
Matthias
P.S.: Thanks for all the feedback - please understand that we can not give email support for beta versions. They come w/o any warranty...
All we can promise is that these version will not harm your hardware and you'll always able to downgrade without loosing data like dives in your logbook.

Hello Matthias,
one more question/wish for the next version nevertheless.
Is it possible to show the current GF even after deco obligation is obsolete?
This will be nice in order to check the current status when actually leaving the water after some more minutes. Would be a great help to be able to compare the felt condition after the dive!
Thanks and regards
Markus

This would be really nice and we spoke about this before. I've seen my Shearwater doing this on several occasions, sometimes also in a repetitive dive but have to check this again to make sure about the current behaviour...

Hallo,

bug-report:
if you are in CC-Mode and not in OC the (new) gas consumption show's useless things like
[pre]
SP1: 0.70 = 2532.8
SP2: 1.30
SP3: 1.00
Dil:21/0 = 811.4
[/pre]
^^ first Gas is Air... Gas4 is EAN50
i think in CC-Mode a "Worst-Case-Bail-Out" calculation of the gas consumption will be great...

I also have to confirm a bug still hanging around in the calculation of the no fly value. After 2-3 hrs out of the water now I still have 69:10. The profile looks good by the way (no decreasing surface like in 1.82), see it attached. I dived a TX 10/50 CC GF 30/90.

Hallo,

MFG
