This is a short heads-up for OSTC support in MacDive, the premier Dive Log software for the Mac.

As of version 2.05 it now officially supports the OSTC and the OSTC Mk.2.

And what about upgrading the FW - Is that possible?

Thanks,
Kristian

Since there is a driver to read the content of the OSTC, it must be possible to upload the fimware :-)

Cant wait to try since Jdivelog is a pain to use… And java (yuke)

Hi Kristian,

updating the firmware is not implemented in MacDive and I doubt it will be.

While I don´t use Jdivelog for logging, I do use it for updating the OSTC, which works nicely (at least for me).

Pfff... since JDiveLog is not working for me - I'm still unable to have my OSTC communicating to it - I was hoping that Mac Dive may update the firmware!

So at least I can upload my dives today :)
And I need to continue my battle to make it working with JDiveLog for the FW :(

Thanks all for your help,
Kristian

the problem here might be that for different
PIC processors, the firmware algorithms differ,
so general algorithm is quite cumbersome.

maybe, if there is some nice and simplified
algorithm for processor used for OSTC, then
firmware upload would be implemented by MacDive
and others?
