Hi

Just came from a dive trip where i had taken the ostc down and had forgotten to put in the charging plug. the computer appears fine, even now 24 hours later it still works ok. im just wondering whether the design is such that there would not have been water egress - or there was and somehow the components just havent fried.

if so, should i send the unit back in to get it checked out? also, need a new battery plug! any idea where i can get one?

The electronics are sealed but you should rinse the bulkhead immediately with fresh water and make sure to dry it asap to avoid corrosion... Maybe add some water dispersant like WD40.

I have a fear of leaving this plug out! I now keep an elastic band in the case and when I take the plug out I wrap the elastic band around the ostc as a reminder. I know it's very low tech but it's worked so far.
