Does anyone know if Tinyul works for flashing the OSTC?

Hello,
Currently, only JDiveLog can upload the firmware with Linux. Tinyul has not yet been tested from us, sorry.

Matthias

After looking at Tinyul a bit more detailed, I think that this should work fine for the OSTC. You have to build the C definitions from icdpictypes.inc file (found in the windows package here:
http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/ostc/do ... loader.zip) with the perl script included in Tinyul to support the 18F4685 in the OSTC.

Matthias

Thanks for the reply!
I had forgotten JDiveLog could flash, but it's good to know there's a couple of choices.

Hello,
After updating the firmware to 1.19, I can't use Jdivelog.
Do you change the transfer protocol between 1.17 and 1.19 ?
Is tinyul the only way to make update on Gnu Linux ?

Hello Servan,
Make sure to set JDiveLog "File->Settings->Divecomputer->Driver" to OSTC Protocol "1.09-1.15" instead of "Auto" unless a JDiveLog update with the 1.19 support is available. 1.19 uses some new commands in the protocol but is backwards compatible to the existing JDivelog.

Matthias
