Air/Ambient Temperature

Yesterday I have been working on my electronic Logbook with Divelog..
Once in a while you have to do that
There again something caught my attention which I also already had observed in the past.
The Air/Ambient temperature recording prior to the dive is somehow flawed..
I have several dives where I know it was pretty decent warm outside (e.g. +20°C) but the Log would only show up with some value around 14/15 °C..
I think this has to do with the point in time when the temperature is recorded.
Maybe shortly before descending. If you then had been in the water for a bit already the temp recorded by the OSTC is quite lower than it actually is.
Surely this is not something which creating problems or a big issue, however on the long run it is a bit annoying for a dive statistics junkie like myself. So I always have to correct this values manually according to my memory in the electronic logbook.
Maybe there is a simple solution to this? E.g. recording the temp more early or really late (after 30 min on the surface?) or something?..
Never had this issue with my Suunto or my Oceanic before.. Don't know how they solve it, but somehow different..
If there is no solution.. Now worries. It remains the best TC I ever owned..
As stated before.. Initially purchased as backup TC for my VR3 on CCR dives it switched to be primary only after a couple of dives
