Deco planning and gas switches

Hi I have just bought an OSTC 2N. Great display. I have searched the forum, I am sure this must have been covered but I cannot find the answer, treat me gently if this is an old question.
The VR3 locks in gasses for the dive and for dive planning so it looks ahead and anticipates one or more switches. The TTS is therefore what is expected.
The OSTC plans on only one gas and does not anticipate any switches. So the TTS is always going to be too long and unhelpful. Yes plan the dive and dive the plan but depth varies and multilevel is supposed to be part of the gain for a computer . I can plan on VR3 and Vplanner but then what is the point of the OSTC?
What have I missed?

welcome ..
You are in the gas you can setup (menu-> Setup gas) enter different gases.
The Bottom gas mark you draw as a first gas, the deco gas will be given to the proposed change of depth.
You activate the deco gas (active gas - Yes), then your plan is calculated with deco gas.
Make sure you CF55> 0min. (additional time for gas exchange) in the gas exchange simulator - Dekoplan yellow.
To adapt the Dekopläne to the V-Planner (+2) have GFfactors (CF32 / 33) for the 15-20 low and 80-95 hi proved to be suitable.
I hope that helps.

As Gucky said, the TTS includes all gases that have been set to "active".

AFAIR they also have a change depth set/defined...

Thanks guys both the the advice and speed of reply. I had tried to turn the gas on, my mistake was not resetting the active depth for the gas, too much use of a VR3. It all works just fine now. Happy diving!
