Hello,

I have not been thinking about it a lot so don't shoot me.

Is it nice to have a start up screen , in witch you will be asked.
a few simple facts...about the dive you are planing

You are now going to preform a ..OC/CC.. dive , gas 1, G2.... bla bla...
settings L16-xx-xx , setpoint...XXXX .... , dehpt, MOD...

if correct press enter...?

as said before ...i have not been thinking about it a lot but is saves a lot of buttons pressing if you would like to check your setting fast before diving.

That's all available from the surface screen anyway (maybe not MOD)

Windows wizard approach ? You get all those details on the screen once You boot - gas setup, GFs ... no need to go through wizard

The OSTC is a dive computer for people that already know what they are doing (experienced divers...). All those information you are looking for are shown on the startup screen. Do you really need a "if correct, press enter" -function that reminds you of controlling your settings before a dive!?

Well I kinda like the idea (except the press enter thingy). It can never be wrong to have a screen with all the info available right before you dive. And when I say right before, I mean you are in the water about to put you head under it.

It is never a bad idea, regardless of the experience of the diver, to have a quick way to see all the needed parameters for the dive. Especially those regarding safety.

Yes the main display shows, Deco type (OC,CC,GF), starting gas, but it lacks all the gases active for the dive, the actual setting for GF like 30/80.

Again you can find this info it's not that quick.

I don't know about you guys but sometimes, right before I put my head under water I like to check once again my parameters (active gas, first gas, MOD, etc) even if I already check it before gearing up.

You can argue that it might be over safe (if one can be over safe at all) but I guess this must come from my aviation background where you check things multiple times :)

Anyway, sorry for the long post, I guess I'm in a talkative mood today :)

As a side note, the more I dive with my OSTC the more I LOVE it. Thanks for the great, great work Matthias.

You can already display the gaslist (showing all programmed active and inactive gases) in the upper right corner of the startup screen pressing the right button twice. Pressing it 4 or 5 times shows you your gf-settings and the depth of the programmed last stop in the same corner. I think that is really quick enough!!!!!!!!! Maybe you did not find this option before?

Indeed I didn't. :) the only time I pressed the right button was when I wanted to access the menu but hit the right instead of the left button. So I never went past the tissue saturation info (which btw, I found of little to no use) and it is quick enough. UI wise though it's not the best way to show info but I'm nick picking here.
