mistakes from CC->bailout->CC

Hi!

I have to ask a question:
I configure my OSTC in CC, diluent air and start the dive. During diving I can see written on the display in the bottom center AIR, and by scrolling with the right button viewing them in the bottom right column PPO2 of diluent, EAD and END. At some point step in and choose EAN32 bailout. Then, after few minutes, I decide to return to the CC selecting setpoint 1.30, but the diluent does NOT RETURN to AIR, it remains to EAN32 and the PPO2 in the bottom right is about EAN32. I expect that if I'm off the CC with bailout and I decide to back to closed-loop, I must have the original selected GAS (AIR in this case) and not what I chosen as bailout gas.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

this behaviour is intended presently as this is the only way to change the diluent for CC.
If you want to use your original diluent and you didn't bail out to your original diluent you have to switch to the desired diluent-gas in OC first and then go back to CC.
There's no other way to switch diluent presently and some users insist on switchable diluent.

Hi Sailor,

I agree with users who insist for switchable diluent, but now this could be misleading, there should be a menu for bailout a menu for diluent change.

thx

Who changes diluent in CCR nowadays?
Who is using his diluent as bailout (especially when diving Tx)?

Not me but i had to do it for MOD 3.
Some of the older instructors insist on it and some believe it is good.
I'm sure it is bad but a fully capable CCR Trimix-Computer need to be able to calculate switching diluents for sure.

Would that not be the DR5 then?

excuse me guys,

we are moving the topic... I'm waiting an official reply to main question. This argument is poorly documented on documentation, I MUST read the forum to understand my new computer?

For me the MK2 is fully capable for CC and Trimix beside cell-integration, leave it like that.
A new menue for diluent is welcome ofcourse but i don't really need it after understanding how it works.
Nevertheless, i got confused on the exact same thing before understanding the idea behind it.
