Gauge Mode?

Hello,
I was curious about the Frog and gauge mode. I work with Vplanner for my profiles, and I do not fly a trimix computer. I really like the OpenSource idea (I am a Software/Hardware/Network Engineer who has specialized in *nix for the past 15 years), and would like to see a bottom timer from this team.
Will the Frog do this?
If so, will the Frog do this in HH:MM:SS, or just HH:MM?
When will the price sheet be released?
Thanks for your time!
Dafydd

I've nothing heard about OS for the Frog but I'm pretty sure you will see seconds on the OSTC.

i would like to see an OLED bottom timer too

BUT the price should nod exeed EUR 200.- and that's almost to much for a bottom timer...

Mir würde ein OLED Tiefenmesser gefallen
mit folgenden Funktionen:
- OLED Displaiy
- Tiefe
- Max Tiefe
- Durschnittstiefe
- Zeit hh:mm
- Batterieanzeige
Luxus:
- Stoppuhr
- Akku
- Temp.
Preis:
ca. EUR 250.-- bis EUR 300.--

Hi,
The frog does not have a gauge mode, it has a nice Apnea mode for our freediving friends. The frog is intend for recreational diving up to 80m with three, nitrox-only gas mixes. It probably will cost around 580EUR.
Regards,
Matthias
P.S.: A bottom timer with an OLED display would require the same hardware then the OSTC. Removing the decompression code from the source will not make the production cheaper. Is someone willing ordering and pre-paying 10000 units for a price of 250EUR/unit? Please send us an email:
info@heinrichsweikamp.com - we'll make a nice bottom timer then...

I'll take two! Anybody else? Maybe we reach some hundreds already?

I would also order one... unfortunately I think we won't reach 10000 units to get this price.

One of the issues is the screen, besides the "MicroOLED" series (0,61" ) there are no AMOLED screens smaller then 2,4" available. This makes the unit quite big (You need a bigger power source, too) and expensive.

Matthias

Is it the same with monochromatic screens?

Mir würde es auch in der Grösse vom OSTC gefallen

... but maybe it is better to use a completely different system as bottom timer: Same hardware, same software = potentially same problems... guess i will stick to my uwatec bottom timer

What about using a very good and bright smaller LCD-Display instead or several of the small MicroOLED displays? The brightness of the Frog-display I looked at at the "Boot" exhibition was really nice (not comparable to my OSTC, but good)....

Hallo
Besten Dank!
Domenik
